About the Australian Council Against Health Fraud Inc

The Australian Council Against Health Fraud Inc is a non-profit association which focuses on health misinformation, fraud, and quackery as public health problems. Our positions are based upon the principles of science that underlie consumer protection law. We advocate: adequate disclosure in labelling and other warranties to enable consumers to make truly informed choice, premarketing proof of safety and effectiveness for products and services claimed to prevent, alleviate, or cure any health problem, and accountability for those who violate the law. Membership of the Australian Council Against Health Fraud is open to anyone who shares the ideals and objectives of the organisation. No formal qualifications are required for membership.
